Preparation + Aftercare for your Service
Permanent Makeup
Pre-Procedure
Waxing/threading treatments should be performed no less than three days prior to your enhancement.
IPL laser hair removal, chemical peels, dermabrasions should be performed no less than two weeks prior to your enhancement.
Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than five days prior to your enhancement.
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two days prior and two weeks after your enhancement.
Do no work out the day of the procedure as body heat expands the pores. It is recommended not to sweat (heavily) for the first 10-14 days after the procedure. Sweat is salt and WILL prematurely fade, blur or cause the pigment not to take at all.
Prior to your cosmetic enhancement think about the look that you wish to achieve. As experts in the field of color analysis and makeovers, we ensure that the correct colors and styles are chosen for you, however you are part of the decision making process.
Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks 24 hours before treatment.
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment.
Do not take Omega-3 (fish oil) one week before treatment.
Do not be exposed to intense sun exposure at least two weeks before treatment.
Please also make sure…
That you are not pregnant/breastfeeding.
That you are not diabetic or have high blood pressure.
That you have not had cancer in the last year.
That you do not get keloid scarring.
You do not have Eczema/Psoriasis/Rosacea.
You have not been on Accutane with in the last 12 months.
That you do not bruise or bleed easily.
For eyeliner, that you have not used eyelash growth serums or had eye surgery in the past 12 months (Lasik in the last six months).

Permanent Makeup aftercare
Do not get wet for 10 days, no heavy sweating for 10 days, no intense sun exposure for 10 days, cleanse area with soap provided, no makeup/creams/cleanser on area for 10 days, no scratching or picking the area while healing.
Lash Lift + Tint
Pre-Procedure
Please remove all eye makeup before your appointment.
Please remove any contact lenses.
Make sure it has been at least 6-8 weeks since your last appointment.
Please also make sure…
You have not had a recent eye surgery.
You do not have any current skin or eye conditions.
If you naturally have very watery eyes, the procedure may not take.
You do not have Eczema/Psoriasis/Rosacea.
You do not have Bell’s Palsy.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, hormones can affect whether or not the lift process will take.
Avoid use of eyelash growth serums for 24 hours before appointment.

Lash Lift + Tint aftercare
Do not get lashes wet for 24-48 hours, no growth serums for 48 hours, do not sleep on your side for 48 hours, avoid makeup on area for 24-48 hours. Elleebana Advanced Aftercare serum is highly recommended for maintaining optimal lash health. (Available @ Ashley Jackson Beauty)
Lash Extensions
Pre-Procedure
Please remove all eye makeup before your appointment.
Please remove any contact lenses.
Please remove any remaining strip lash glue/mascara.

You have not had a recent eye surgery.
You do not have any current skin or eye conditions.
If you naturally have very watery eyes, the procedure may not take.

Lash Extension aftercare
Do not get lashes wet for 24-48 hours (including sweating, tanning, and showering), do not use any oil based products/makeup near eyelashes, use lash comb at least once a day, clean lashes daily or weekly with lash cleaner, do not rub, pick or pull on extensions.
Lamination .
Pre-Procedure
Grow your hair (NO waxing/tweezing/trimming) for up to 4 weeks prior, there will be more hair to work with.
A patch test is recommended 24 hours pre-treatment.
No previous hair color applied to brows.
Must wait six weeks post any permanent makeup/microblading.
Must wait 10-16 weeks post henna to have lamination.
Please also make sure…
You do not have Eczema/Psoriasis/Rosacea.
You have not had recent eye surgery.
Your skin is not sunburned.
You do not have extra sensitive skin.
You do not have alopecia.
You are not pregnant or breastfeeding (must wait until three months post).
You are not on blood thinners.
Consult your dermatologist first if you have used brow growth serums, Retinol, Accutane, or AHA/BHA.

Lamination aftercare
Brush lashes in an upward direction after every face cleanse, keep in place with Kelley Baker Brow clear gel or Elleebana Advanced Aftercare serum (both available @ Ashley Jackson Beauty)
Wax/Ultimate Shape Up
Pre-Procedure
Grow your hair (NO waxing/tweezing/trimming) for up to 4 weeks prior, there will be more hair to work with.
No previous hair color applied to brows with in the last 6 weeks (if we are tinting brows).
Must wait two weeks post any permanent makeup/microblading.
No current breakouts/acne on or near eyebrow.
Oily Skin clients should exfoliate 24-48 hours before and moisturize skin leading up to the day of service.
Acne Prone skin clients should be gentle on skin days prior to waxing. Dry brush and moisturize with oil free products days prior to wax.
Eat clean and drink lots of water before appointment to ensure optimal skin health.
Please also make sure…
You do not have Eczema/Psoriasis/Rosacea.
Your skin is not sunburned.
You do not have extra sensitive skin.
If pregnant or breastfeeding, skin may be sensitive.
Retinol, Accutane or topical medication users can NOT get waxed, however tweezing for shaping is allowed.
Let technician know if you are using brow growth serums.
You drink plenty of water days leading up to your wax.

Wax + Ultimate Shape Up aftercare
To prevent breakouts; gently exfoliate skin after 24 hours, no gym or extreme sun exposure/tanning beds for 24 hours, keep hair/hats etc. off of area for 24 hours, do not apply concealer/creams/makeup to freshly waxed area until redness subsides.

Deoxycholic Acid Care Instructions
Pre-Treatment
The ideal time to schedule Deoxycholic acid treatment is at least 2 weeks prior to a big event. Thursdays & Fridays are preferred to allow for swelling over the weekend.
Inform your practitioner if you have a history of difficulty swallowing, medication allergies, history of anaphylaxis, recent surgeries to the area planned to treat and any other medical problems.
Post-Treatment
Swelling, bruising, redness and inflammation is to be expected after deoxycholic acid treatment.
Treat the area with an ice pack for comfort for 3-5 minutes at a time in the first 24 hours.
To allow for natural healing mechanisms to take place in the body, avoid NSAIDS or any type of oral anti-inflammatories. Ex: ibuprofen, mortin, advil. ‘
Avoid salty foods as this can increase swelling to the area.
Bruising, numbness, and tingling can occur after Deoxycholic acid treatment.
After treatment, oral and/or topical Arnica montana may help reduce bruising.
NO EXERCISE FOR 48 HOURS POST TREATMENT.

Dermal Filler Before & After Care
Pre-Treatment
Avoid aspirin (e.g., Excedrin), vitamin E, St. John’s wort or other dietary supplements including ginkgo, evening primrose oil, garlic, feverfew, and ginseng for 2 weeks.
Avoid ibuprofen (e.g., Advil, Motrin, naproxen) and alcohol for 2 days.
If possible, come to your appointment with a cleanly washed face.
Post-Treatment
Skin redness and swelling in the treatment area is common. This should resolve within a few days. If it persists longer than 3 days, please contact your physician.
Do not massage the treated areas.
Avoid applying heat to the treated area until any swelling or bruising has resolved. Routine washing and showering is fine.
Avoid activities that cause facial flushing on the day of treatment including: consuming alcohol, exercising, and tanning.
Gently apply a cool compress or wrapped ice pack to the treated area for 15 minutes every few hours as needed to reduce discomfort, swelling, or bruising up to a few days after treatment. If bruising occurs it typically resolves within 7-10 days.
After treatment, oral and/or topical Arnica montana may help reduce bruising and swelling.
It is normal to feel “firmness” in your injection area for the first few days after treatment. Over time, the area will soften, leaving you a natural looking result.
Makeup may be applied shortly after treatment if no complications are present, and using gentle application.
Immediately report any abnormal bruising or pain to your provider.
Botulinum Toxin Cosmetic Treatments
Pre-Treatment
Avoid aspirin (e.g., Excedrin), vitamin E, St. John’s Wort or other dietary supplements including ginkgo, evening primrose oil, garlic, feverfew, and ginseng for 2 weeks.

Do not apply pressure to/or massage the treatment are on the day of treatment.
Avoid lying down for 4 hours immediately after treatment.
Avoid applying heat to the treated area on the day of treatment.
Avoid activities that cause flushing on the day of treatment, including hot tub or sauna use, exercising, or tanning.
Gently apply a cool compress or wrapped ice pack to the treated area for 15 minutes every few hours as needed to reduce discomfort, swelling, or bruising up to a few days after treatment. If bruising occurs, it typically resolves within 7-10 days.
After treatment, oral consumption and/or topical application of Arnica montana may help to reduce bruising and swelling.
Botulinum toxin treatment effects take about 1-2 weeks to fully develop and lasts approximately 2.5 - 4 months.
Pinpoint bleeding may occur and will resolve quickly.
Follow up in 2 weeks.
